Designed to meet specific needs, such as performance improvements on specific job related tasks.  Users and courses may be tracked and managed.  Delivery methods include web based, computer based and blended training.

Performance Support

Designed to show users how to complete a specific task as easily and efficiently as possible.  Users are not tracked.  Delivery methods include both digital (computer or PDA) and traditional (printed manual) media. 

General Communication

Designed to reach a large audience within an organization, and deliver a wide variety of information.  Message topics generally have a broad appeal, and the information is available to the target audience in a short time-frame.  Solutions in this category may use delivery methods outside computer based models, such as internal video communication networks or messages via telephone.
