TVS helps CSX launch its New GenSet Locomotives PDF Print E-mail

A Washington, DC agency recently called on TVS to help CSX create a successful media event for the launch of two, ultra-low emission GenSet Locomotives at the Rougemere Yard in Dearborn, Michigan.

In additional to A/V support, TVS provided the staging, catering and favorable weather.

Attending the event were Tony Ingram, Executive VP and COO CSX Transportation, Congresswoman Kilpatrick and Representatives from MDOT, SEMCOG and the City of Dearborn.

Having relied on TVS Communication Solutions since 2005, the March of Dimes, Chrysler LLC and the Detroit Athletic Club again called on TVS to produce this prestigious event and TV Show.  TVS provided Concept to Completion solutions, including all aspects of production management, producing, scriptwriting, graphic and post production, staging, lighting, sound and video support.  The two hour event was edited into a 60 minute TV program for air on WDIV-TV4 and Comcast.  Held at the Historic Detroit Athletic Club, the Dodge National Athletic Awards recognizes Michigan athletes who combine excellence both on the playing field, in the classroom and community.  The Awards are presented to the top male and female Michigan High School and College Athlete of the Year.  This years winners were Mitch Zajac from Holt High School, Allison Schmitt from Canton High School, Jeff Lerg from Michigan State University (Hockey) and Tiffany Ofili from University of Michigan (Track and Field).

The March of Dimes and Dodge also honor one individual with their Lifetime Achievement Award.  This year’s recipient was former University of Michigan Coaching Legend Lloyd Carr.

The 2008 Dodge National Athletic Awards event was held on May 12 at the Detroit Athletic Club, featuring Steve Garagiola from WDIV-TV.

TVS once again was on site at the 2008 North American International Auto Show to supply A/V/Web services to hundreds of media professionals from points around the globe.  Broadcast networks and corporations rely on TVS for the acquisition and distribution of their edited and live content that is broadcasted and webcasted utilizing the latest digital technologies.

TVS also managed the technical and creative elements of the Michigan Hall Stage and facilitated many events such as the North American Car and Truck of the Year Awards, Eyes on Design Awards, Charity Preview ribbon cutting ceremony and the live concert element, this year featuring the “Bare Naked Ladies”.

TVS sends out our thanks to the dedicated professionals, many we work with throughout the year, that came together to make this year’s show a success.  We are looking forward to another successful show in 2009.
 
TVS recently supported the Cranbrook Student Graduation at Christ Church in Bloomfield Hills PDF Print E-mail
The challenge was to provide commencement speech A/V coverage of Cranbrook alum, TV Journalist and Author Bob Woodruff and Cranbrook graduate Mark Levin to the national Media who were observing literally under the historical Sanctuary in a Chapel.

The TVS team quickly determined the most expeditious and unobtrusive method to gather, deliver and distribute the event 300 feet to the waiting Media.   Many thanks to everyone at Cranbrook, the Class of ‘07’ and the great TVS crew for another successful event.
 
TVS Delivers Second Kiosk to Starbase PDF Print E-mail

The TVS Learning and Interactive group, along with the Production department, recently completed the custom fabrication and installation of an International Space Station,(ISS), Activity and Learning Center Kiosk.   The physical characteristics of the Kiosk were designed to blend into the current Starbase surroundings while the functional environment was created for students to explore information about the ISS.   The interface enables users to navigate several levels of media to view, read and interact with information that includes 3D animation, knowledge challenges and video related to NASA and specifically the ISS.  This Kiosk utilizes multiple plasmas monitors including a 50” touch screen and a directional sound delivery system to restrict the audio experience to students in close proximity.

TVS Communication Solutions was on site at the 2007 North American International Auto Show to work with many of the 6,000 media professionals who attended from around the world. As managers of the NAIAS Broadcast Center, major broadcast networks and corporations relied on TVS for the production and distribution of their edited and live broadcasts from the show floor, through traditional broadcast methods as well as utilizing the latest digital technologies.
